Same for me except after some pressing they stated that they could get me the card but are waiting for the forms from Guadalajara. They took my phone number on a random slip of paper and even asked for a 2nd number to call so I provided that of my wife. Six weeks later and no call. I might try one more time because I went to so much trouble and the expense of getting those photos.

Today I was informed by the bus line Primera Plus, that foreign INAPAM card holders no longer will receive a 50% discount for bus tickets but rather a reduced 20% discount. For Mexican nationals card holders, it remains 50%.

Mexico certainly has anti discrimination laws against foreign residents. The question is can you find a lawyer to bring your action and is it worth it? I am a lawyer and permanent resident who found it wasn’t. But, as I get older and need an exit strategy, I am considering rocking the boat. They had me to spend all this money to get certain benefits then they deny them with a lie. I was told it would probably change under the new Presidenta. Apparently, it hasn’t!
