Hi Roger,
CityMarket usually stocks Marmite (as well as a range of other UK-sourced food items).

If you do not have a Costco or Sam's Club membership, you can use that of a friend or acquaintance. If you go with that person to the store they have no problem "splitting the check" so that you only pay for your own purchases. In fact, the cashiers often ask, "¿solo una cuenta?" (just one bill?) because the practice is so common.

In addition, I've never been asked for an when checking out at Sam's or Costco, and have never seen them compare the membership card to the credit card, so you can probably borrow your friend's membership card and use it for your purchases if you don't want to buy a membership.

Also, Mexican Costco membership cards are honored in the U.S., and I suspect that the reverse is true as well.

Useful article! City Market has recently opened in Guadalajara, in Plaza Patria. Nearby you'll find Bed Bath & Beyond. For the budget-minded, a friend reports that Target International ships to Mexico at reasonable cost.
