Post-Easter Hotel Deals in Mexico

The Easter holidays arrived early this year, and now everyone is back at school, the airports are quieter, flights are cheaper and hotels are offering ’shoulder-season’ discounts.  It’s the perfect time to plan a get-away to Mexico before the summer rush.

Many hotels reduce their rates after the Easter vacation period, although it does depend on the location by how much prices are discounted.

Morelia: If you are looking for a get-away in the beautiful city of Morelia, consider staying at the Villa San Jose.  The hotel is  situated on the mountain with panoramic views overlooking the city.  There is easy access to and from the center by means of a short taxi ride.  One of the finest golf courses in the area is just five minutes away.  The hotel is currently offering a 25% discount on its room rates through to April 30, 2008.  If you prefer to be in the middle of the city, Hotel Catedral, situated right downtown, is offering a 10% discount on its room rates through to December 18, 2008.

Cancun: If you want to get-away to the beach before the summer holidays, there are some offers being made in Cancun. The Intercontinental Presidente, one of the finest hotels in Cancun, is offering 26% off when you stay between now and the June 4, 2008.  The modern and chic-styled Bel Air Collection Hotel is currently offering guests a fourth night free (equivalent to 25% discount if you stay 4 nights), valid through June 30, 2008.
